Animals in Othere

Hey, I'm sorry I haven't posted in a bit! I've been busy editing pages and doing projects in school. Hey, even people who have an occupation involving saving the world don't have lots of free time.

Anyway, today we're focusing on the various animals who occupy Othere.

Seriously, nobody draws good pictures of amphitheres! Like, look up
"amphithere" on the Internet. I'd draw a picture but my scanner is broken.
AMPHITHERES: Dragons don't technically exist in Othere, or anywhere else, although amphitheres are certainly very dragon-like creatures, and half-dragons look very dragonish, although they're rather small. Anyway, amphithere usually live in mountainous areas or caves. Some live in ancient temples and ruins from long ago. The largest ones dwell in Criellan's valleys. They're feathery in Calathea's region of the world, but in another continent (there's three super huge continents) there's a furry variation. They speak Runic and can learn human languages. They write omens of the future in their caves and collect not jewels, but wishes, hopes, and dreams, which they either keep for themselves or release to the human world in pulsating, floating orbs that drift through the sky. The amphitheres in the Vayl mountain range release these dreams twice or three times a year, and it's a beautiful sight.

FRISTIES: Fristies are the most common birds in Calathea, and are as abundant as New York City pigeons, but, at least to me, much more beautiful. They're white or light gray with speckled bodies and necks, and a rainbow-like sheen on their wings. They act like messenger pigeons, but smaller variations sing beautifully, like nightingales, and slightly larger ones speak when prompted to do so, like parrots.

THRAUQ: These creatures resemble buffalos crossed with mammoths, with huge tusks, hooves, a huge body covered in shaggy fur, and a face that looks like an elephant but with a buffalo-like snout. Usually, though, you can't make out all the details, because they're so covered in fur that it's hard to distinguish anything about these enormous beasts. They're native to Calathea and parts of Criellan.

WALUWA: These are reptilian creatures that look like serpents, because they're so long and flexible. They have six legs. Despite this, they actually look cute. They are shy of humans but will not attack. Before mating season, thousands of them travel to Waluwa Canyon (pronounced Wau-loo-wau) to mate. As they go, they produce blue smoke, signifying their readiness to get busy. Once they're there, they perform elaborate dances to win over the females. Then they all find caves to live in, and create nests, only coming out to fish to feed their babies. They're a very important creature to the Pranuerians, and it's against the law to kill a Waluwa.

AWULAW: You may have noticed that Awulaw is Waluwa backwards. Not my choice. Many Pranuerian words associated with each other are the same thing, only backwards. The Awulaw is a type of spiny fish that lives the Vayl river. There are some larger variations that live permanently in Kraken Creek. They looked like swordfish with huge spines and have a somewhat shrimp-like shell around them. They use their many fins to paddle themselves through the water, and can go quite fast. Waluwa are good at catching these willy creatures, and experts at shelling them.
Awulaw swim downstream to mate, unlike most fish. They gather at Waluwa falls. When they arrive is the same time that thousands of amphithere come to the falls to lay - or rather, distribute - their eggs beneath the falls. Their eggs, already laid, are brought in magic bundles made of nightmares. Then the Amphithere put their eggs in caves behind the falls and dive into the falls, scooping up huge mouthfuls of water and mating Awulaw. Thousands of Pranuerians and Calatheans travel here to watch this amazing freak of nature.

OTHERE "WOLVES": Othere's wolves aren't really wolves at all - they're absolutely way to enormous. They've got markings beneath their eyes that declare what rank they are within their packs, they can climb trees and run for extremely large distances, they've got feelers sprouting out of their back and backs of their legs like mutant whiskers, and they've got fangs like a saber toothed tiger. Yet, they still manage to look regal and mysterious. Even with antenna poking out of their backs. Even with eyes that glow at night like a cat.

There will be more, I promise, because this is a whole world I'm talking about - but it's late. Mum's going to kill me if I stay up this late on a daily basis.

Weapons

Words have power... but so do weapons. I know, I know, everyone is tired of that stupid fantasy book with the mystical sword, but no, this is not stupid fantasy, and yes, there are kind of mystical swords. I apologize for the the inconvenience.

Anyway, here's a quick summery of all the weapons I know:

THUNDERBIRD'S TALONS:

These two swords are my main weapons, and they actually are the Thunderbird's talons. He gave the swords to me when I became his champion. They look like gold but definitely aren't, because they don't seem heavy to me at all - instead, they seem like extensions of my arm. Swordfighting comes perfectly naturally to me. When I'm angry, the swords might burst into flame.

SKYFYRE: This is Justin's sword, which is the stripe on the back of Ora's Serpent, his god. It's symmetrical, except right next to the handle, where there's a few sharp points. The sword is white but appears blue, because there's a bluish tinge of light around it. Since the Serpent was the offspring of Lightening and Death, it was the godly personification of thunder. Justin, by the way, has electrical powers. So in battle, his sword gets charged with electrical light, and he can shoot thunderbolts at people with it - lightening, right? So the name Skyfyre was appropriate.

MOLLIE'S BOW AND ARROWS: Beside her circlet, her favorite tea cup, her snowflake handkerchief, and the Dark Eye, this bow is one of her most prized possessions. Light blue, engraved with golden Calathic symbols, her bow is a work of art. Even her arrows are cool, every arrow being a real amphithere eye feathers. (they have feathers where our eyelashes are, which are the smallest feathers on their bodies)

VENEZZA'S DRAGON CLAWS: If there's anything Venezza is good at, it's fighting. And she's great with her crossbow, but she's the best at her dragon claws. They're claws she wears over her knuckles, engraved with amphitheres. The tips are terrifyingly sharp. If you haven't seen Venezza go into battle, you haven't been truly afraid. (I know, I know - I stole that line from Percy Jackson. Best books ever.)

SHADOWCASTER'S SCEPTER: I haven't ever touched it. I don't look at this thing directly, much less touch it. The black magic around it is so strong that it's paralyzing. That scepter has does things to people that I don't want to think about. Much like the Shadowcaster's Chamber, this thing can be touched by the Shadowcaster alone. It takes serious skill to fool this thing into thinking you're the Shadowcaster when you're not, like Virginia did - before Avada stole it and found out that she could touch it.

AGATHA'S CHAIN WHIP: Where do you think Avada got the nickname of "Switch?" Even if Agatha wasn't a shape shifter, she'd be a truly formidable enemy. Later, she'll charm it so that even looking at that thing made your fingers bleed. And she's a MASTER at using the thing. I almost think it has a mind of its own. Hmmm...

The picture above is an inaccurate rendering of Justin and myself. First of all, I don't wear skimpy schoolgirl dresses. Second, my hair is red. Third, I have two swords. Fourth, that energy around Justin looks to much like ice. It's electricity. Duh.

Kingdoms In Othere

Othere isn't exactly medieval, but I call them "kingdoms" because they're not really cities yet. Othere is a whole lot more advanced if you lot at it from a magical point of view. The most magical people on Earth were a couple alchemists and the sorceresses from the Greek myths, like Circe and Medea.

Anyway, here I make a list of the kingdoms in Othere:

This is Calathea, where it all started. It's had a pretty bloodthirsty history, and the ground itself probably shouldn't allow anything to grow. In fact, Calathea can only exits while magic still works. No Earthling in their right mind would want to live in such a cold, lifeless place. It has close ties with Pranuer, the neighboring kingdom.

Now, Pranuer and Calathea are the Ying and Yang of Othere. Calathea is known for trading and mining, especially the mining of irynes, precious magical stones. Pranuer, on the other had, is known for the philosophers that make their homes here. Pranuer is like the Greece of Othere - Calathea, if anything, is like a Rome that happens to not be obsessed with conquering. Most Prauerians have a big things for the gods, which you can find info on in a History of Othere.

This is the castle of Criellan, a kingdom north of Calathea, beyond the Vayl mountains. It is typically known to be a dark and mysterious kingdom, and their royals are particularly shrewd. Ruler there are appointed by dictatorship. Even the bravest Pranuerian doesn't want to enter Criellan.

Besides just having strange and scary people, it is rumored that a dark storm hovers above Criellan, which means that the last Black Planet formed from somewhere hailing from there. You can find the legend of the Black Planet in the History page.

I'm not including a picture of Nalemar, a kingdom north of Pranuer. It is the border of this kingdom, along with a portion of Pranuer, that Jotham's Wall runs. Calathea's relationship with Nalemar is rocky, and as of late they have been growing more hostile, but they have been good before. Those living in the Smoking Mountains, however, tend to prove dangerous enemies. It is from there that Ranshio and Gracie hailed, and it is there where the beginning of the Final Battle took place.

Here is a picture of Bralennon, the kingdom of the Winged. There are half-dragons, and then there are the Winged - humans with tails and wings, some who dwell in the sky, some on the ground, and some in the Crags. The sky is green because of all of the ancient Runic magic in the air. It is here, in this valley, the the Final Battle takes place. Not that the Winged were very pleased about that.

Please check out the new page - the Root of Frost one - and comment about ideas for the first book! I need that first book to be original and wonderful. So I need your advice. Thank you! -Sam.

Pets

I'm going to do a post on animals in Othere soon, but I'd also like to mention that certain animals play a very important part in my story. Here's a few important ones that I'd like to mention:

First, there's GOLDEN ICE, Mollie's first real friend. He was a birthday present to her from Venezza, and despite all of Mollie's princessy instincts, Mollie couldn't resist. Mollie has a soft spot for animals, and who can't resist an adorable little wolfdog puppy who has fur that sometimes looks like actually gold, and one brown eye and one blue eye?

Golden Ice plays a very important part in Mollie's tale, and not just because he's lovable and cuddly. In the third book, he's at Mollie's side every step of the way, protecting her - and even with his life, when he sacrificed himself for her when a Grimling was going to slit Mollie's throat. Golden Ice interned by throwing himself in front of Mollie, and died. But Mollie and Golden Ice... they were friends till the end. And afterwards, Mollie still had a miniature version of Golden Ice, in his pups - especially in Bright Star.

Wolf version of Golden Ice, coming soon.

POLA: Pola's not just any ordinary messenger fristie. Besides having an unusually rainbow-like sheen on her wings, and being pure white instead of dappled, Pola's also a skilled messenger, good flier, and very intelligent - smart enough to speak in simple sentences in Calathic, and actually understand what she's saying. Has shown sympathy and kindness towards Mollie in the past. Yeah, Pola's not an ordinary bird. Mollie told me that ever since Golden Ice, she'd secretly wanted more pets. Well, Pola's better than a pet - she's a real friend.

FLAKEY AND CHANTER: I met these guys in Elysium, after I heard they were going extinct. Flakey and Chanter are fire-breathing unicorns. They're the last ones left of their particular species, although there's other types of unicorns out there, most fire-breathing, one type healing. It's that type that used to live on Earth but was transported to Othere because the Earth humans were intent on killing it. Anyway, I kept Flakey and Chanter as pets in my house in Elysium. They hung out in the stables out back. I'm not much of a horse person, but they don't eat, so no smell - they're pretty much all fire inside, so as long as there's oxygen they're okay.

PYRO: I met Pyro on the quest for the Talisman, and she's just awesome. She's one of thirteen phoenixes in the entire worlds - worlds, because one lives in Arabia and one lives in Egypt. The rest live here on Othere. Technically, phoenixes shouldn't have names, but it's more polite to say "Pyro!" then "Hey, phoenix! Over here?"

Anyway, Pyro's a few thousand years old, and she's seen practically everything. Even Mollie and Irisa respect her. To call her, you've got to release incense, phoenix ash, phoenix song, and a bit of light from a phoenix flame, in order to call her. I keep that stuff in a magical pouch Pyro gave me. Pyro's cool like that. Also, technically, phoenixes don't have genders, but I call them she's, because though they're reborn every 500 years, they lay an egg of their self and collapse inside, so they re-hatch out of the egg. And in my opinion, anything that lays eggs is female.

IRISA: Mollie met this dragon around the end of our quest for the Talisman, through Venezza. They were instant best buds. I think Golden Ice was a little jealous. Both of them considered themselves high and mighty - Mollie because she was royalty, and Irisa because she was the daughter of Hellfire and Corinne (Venezza's dragon mother - so Irisa and Venezza were half dragon sisters.) BTW, Hellfire is like the chief of the tribe in that particular part of the Crags, where a lot of the dragons live. Anyway, Irisa helped Venezza bring the Red Dragon and lots of dragons from the Crags into the final battle. And Mollie was riding Irisa when she approached Virginia in that final, epic battle... Irisa kind of looks like the pic above. Just imagine - small enough to fit in a bedroom, and a little feminine around the eyes.

Who's The Evilest of Them All?

As you can see from the poll opposite, I'd like to know who you think is the evilest. So here are some really evil people in Othere, and by evil I mean, really, really, evil:

(Note - please look at the History Page if you're confused. I'm going to finish writing about Jotham's Wall soon, no worries. Pictures coming soon. Please take the poll after reading this!)

VIRGINIA LESTCOFF: Was born in Jotham's Wall and was being trained in the art of Black Magic. By the time she was six, she could kill a grown man using thirteen different spells. However, descendants of the Shadowcaster learned Black Magic, but were taught to use their powers for good.

Was captured, along with her family, by the Nalemarians. The Nalemarians thought they were Guardians of the Shrine and nearly tortured them to death looking for answers. After confirming that they were not Guardians after all, they were all separately sold to different places in Calathea. Virginia never saw her parents again.

Eventually became a palace servant and fell in love with Jack Thomas Frost, the third son of the current king. They ran off together to Jotham's Wall and lived there for a few happy years. Virginia first gave birth to Avada, who was a natural when it came to Black Magic.

Then Izabella came along, and Jack Thomas disliked the innocent, Black-less youth. He planned to seal Izabella inside of the Shadowcaster's Chamber, and Avada knew not even Virginia would be able to stop him. So she ran and hid the infant in a tribe near Kraken Creek where - eventually - she would be found by Venezza and brought to the Castle. Avada additionally charmed Jack Thomas into thinking that he had murdered Izabella.

Virginia was furious and nearly killed him, expelling him from Jotham's Wall. Inside of the Shadowcaster's Chamber, she opened a portal to the Fortress and killed all of the Dark Wizards there, except for Nathaniel Slaughter. She claimed the Fortress as her own and freed the slaves in the Slums - but then captured the children there and tried to teach them Black M;T. When many refused, she turned them all into Grimlings - a terrible fate for anyone. Then she set out on getting her revenge - and somehow, getting her daughter back.

AGATHA SWITCH: Being raised by Jack Thomas and all, you can't really blame her for her evilness. The problem is that she's also intelligent - and popular. With her exotic look, silky smooth persuasive voice, and extraordinary powers, she's not an enemy you want to have.

She's a shape shifter, first of all, and utilizes her powers to the fullest extent. So, cunning and skilled in battle. Check.

She's also very good at humiliating certain people, but then seeming completely innocent. Whenever she tortures Mollie at Larrots - whether it's tripping her, calling her names, or laughing at her when she had an empathic fit - all the kids know, but all the grown-ups - except for Violet Namgan, sort of - are completely oblivious. So, way too perfect. Check.

During the second book, when she captures Mollie, her dad gives her permission to torture Mollie as much as she wants. Great, just great - so she takes Mollie's circlet, plays with Golden Ice, sits in her throne, sleeps in her room, and - worst of all - Mollie becomes Agatha's servant, aka slave, so Mollie has to serve her, and whenever she does something wrong, she lashes her with that nasty chain whip, and Mollie has to sleep in the dungeon. Oh, and whenever Agatha has to question her, she puts a "needle" spell on her, so if she doesn't say anything or refuses to say anything or doesn't tell the truth, it feels like a thousand white-hot needles are being pushed into her skin.

So, ruthless and evil? Check.

Agatha likes wearing clothes from her mother's
home country, a desert land far away - as well
as a touch of Calathean and Nalemarian culture.

DARK DIAMOND: Okay, Darky's a little dangerous, but not really. He's mostly a bumbling idiot. He's like the Malfoy of the Othere, I swear - a two-faced bastard, and not as great as he says he is. Oh, and he's also rich, great.

Plus, he massively crushes on Mollie. So when Mollie gets captured, he gets to have a little fun with her - which, I remind you again, is totally gross, because he's her half brother. Yuck.

But not that kind of fun. That would be absolutely way too disgusting. I mean how now he has a lot more opportunities to flirt with her. That's all.

JACK THOMAS: The third son of Jack Adrian Frost, one of the most ruthless kings in Calathean history. The second son was Jack Daniel Frost and the first was Jack Adrian's favorite, Jack Hunter Frost. When Jack Hunter died, Jack Daniel - much to Jack Thomas' disapproval - inherited the throne.

After Jack Thomas married, had kids, and was kicked out of Jotham's wall by Virginia, he returned to the Castle and tried to secure a spot there by sending an assassin by the name of Lisa Losala to kill his brother. The attempt failed, and Jack Daniel, suspecting his brother, sent his brother out to the Palace.

Jack Thomas hated the Palace. It was so silent now that the Slums were empty (thanks to Virginia) and the only noises he heard were not good ones - the sounds of the Rilauk fighting and hunting thrauq got on his nerves. So he made the strategic choice of letting some Rilauk live in the place where the Slums once were, with one little catch - they had to live like Calatheans. Soon he had a whole city swarming around his Palace. All he was missing was someone to love. Well, not love. More like rule alongside with.

And he found that in the sensuous assassin, Lisa Losala. They married, and she became "queen" of the Palace along with him. Afterwards, they had children, Agatha and Darren.

During this time, Jack Thomas did all he could to obliterate the Provinces, and/or to take control of them so he could rule that plot of land and destroy the Rilauk in one shot. He sent his men to raid their villages and crafted a symbol of his own - the lightening bolt on the back of the Serpent of Shadows. And why? Because no matter how ruthless, how heartless this man seemed, he still had a place in his heart for Virginia and her palace in Jotham's Wall. He still loved her - with all of his heart.

THE GRIMLING (LOGAN): It's not really his fault he tried to strangle me (Samantha) to death. Not really. Let's blame Virginia this time.

He was a slave in the Slums when he was freed by Virginia. Amazed though he was at being freed, he disliked Black Magic. Avada took a liking to him and told him to pretend, so that she would not make him into a Grimling. It was true - Logan's fellow slaves were becoming Grimlings because they disobeyed Virginia. So he took Avada's advice - he pretended.

Avada, however, really liked this boy. (And yes, he is kind of hot. Brownish black hair going into his eyes, which were hazel with little gold flecks, tanned skin, a smile that could light up the dark side of the moon - the works.) She wanted to make absolutely sure that Virginia wouldn't turn him into a Grimling. So she charmed her mother into thinking that Logan was the greatest with Black Magic. Which also happened to be a bad move.

Virginia paid special attention to Logan now, and Logan liked pretending less and less, while he liked Avada more and more. One day Logan let his guard down, and he didn't radiate a Black Aura. Virginia, noticing the absence of Black Magic, went poking around to see why, and caught Logan and Avada kissing in Avada's room. Furious, she set upon Logan an Advanced Grimling spell and sent him to strangle me.

So yeah, not really his fault. I just think it's evil that he tried to strangle me. Or more, that he kissed Avada. That's a serious crime. He should seriously be mine. Avada saved him by giving him one of the unicorn hairs that Mollie had. Mollie wasn't very happy about that. She didn't think he was worth it.

I sooo do not look like this all the time. Like, seriously? There's a bow in my hair!
If only there was, like, a pants option. But the shirt and belt are good. And Logan
looks a lot like this, but different than Albert - Albert's got a different skin, and Albert's
hair is flatter. And Logan is hotter. Just sayin...!

JACK ADRIAN FROST: He was massively into slavery. He couldn't enslave the Rilauk, because they were practically enslaved already, but he enslaved immigrants (mainly from Nalemar) gypsies, religious people, Elysium people - anyone who defied him.

He was on a quest to find the Guardians of Vayl's Shrine, because he thought that they would know the way to slaughter/breed the amphitheres - for fighting purposes, because he could make them in gladiators and make them fight, for trading purposes, because amphithere skin, eyes, dung, etc. was very valuable, and just so that he could stop giving "those pesky amphitheres" 10,000 thrauq every year. Luckily, he died before finding the Guardians.

Meet Amalia

Meet Amalia Frost, also known as Mollie by everyone, and called Molls by me (which causes some serious annoyance.) She was born Izabella Frost, and it's always a bit awkward when Avada calls her "Iza" by accident.

Anyway, when I met her she was 13, although she certainly didn't look it. She's small and delicate-looking, and she has surprisingly strong arms - perfect for archery, her preferred sport. She keeps her dark brown, wavy hair out of her eyes with her circlet, one of her most prized possessions. Her skin is a creamy ivory, although it can look sallow, and her eyes are a bright, startling blue, exactly the color of the ocean. Her face either has a snooty, serious, or grim look about it. This girl never seems quite that happy.

When I met her, she was snooty, sneering at me, scorning my ideas, and generally hating my guts. She was prim and proper in general. The only time I ever saw her smiling and laughing was when she was playing with her wolfdog puppy, Golden Ice.

She kind of considered everyone as being "inferior" and while she accepted that she had to listen to her teachers, she did it kind of grudgingly, and was eager to point out any mistakes her tutor made. She thought she was perfect. Which I considered complete B.S.

There was a wolf maker, but Golden Ice doesn't quite
look like a ferocious wolf until the middle of the third
book. (I'm going to write a story about Othere - and
nothing is going to stop me...!!!
Wait - there are a couple exceptions to the inferior rule, but there's once in particular - ALBERT LANCE. He's the duke of Pranuer (well, not really the duke, but there's no direct translation for it in English, and Mollie thought duke sounded cool) and... well, you heard about him in my last post. Mollie drools over him. And then there's Gwendolyn, Gracie, Violet Namgan, and of course, myself... but you'll get to hear about those in future posts.

She told me that before, she had looked up to her parents, admired her sister (the horror!) and enjoyed life in general. But then she saw the bad things. She didn't like how her dad ran his kingdom. She didn't like how her mother demanded that all religions, even Soulism, were allowed. She didn't like her sister's immaturity and selfishness. She decided that someday, it would only be right when she took over. So she's been working as hard as she can, with her tutors and at her school, Larrots, ever since.

And now that I've been working with her for three years? Well, I spent the entire first year pestering her, telling her that she needed to stop pretending everyone was better, starting facing all of the haters (Agatha Switch and her pathetic little clique) and start listening. And it was definitely worth it. She's still a princess, but she's not so obsessed with the mundane little things that weighed down her life before, like the fact that she was drinking ponderosa tea, not mint tea. (It did taste very minty.) She's more... serious. Less willing to trust, after Gracie and Gwendolyn - and kind of Avada, too - both betrayed her. More of a tactician, a strategist. She can be ruthless when she has to.

And then there's another her. When it comes to the good of the world, she can be pretty darn ferocious. But when she's trying to better herself - then she's a total Soulist. Which is funny, since she was against the religion at first. Now that she's actually got a grip on her empathic powers, she understands people way amazingly. Which sucks, because unless I've got a mind barrier in my head, she might try to manipulate me.

But she can't kill - which is the important, and suckish, part. Because if she's "destined" to battle Virginia (her mom!) (and she's not really destined, it's just that she really does need to stop Virginia from destroying the world - destiny doesn't exist) how can she defeat without killing?

Do me a favor, readers, and read the new History Page, coming soon. It'll explain Kilathia (name subject to change at any time) and the other kingdoms in lots of historical detail, some myths from Kilathia and Nalemar (name subject to change at any time) and info on the Pranuerian gods.

Boys

Even people in other worlds have crushes. So here's a list of the boys that will be primarily featured in Othere:

JUSTIN LUCERO: Preppy and smart, and certainly looks that part. Don't call me racist, okay? He's Asian and pretty darned hot, especially with his untidy black hair. Was granted electrical powers from Ora's Serpent, a black snake with a huge electric blue stripe down it's back. Introduced me (Samantha speaking here) to Othere and brought me here, on the command of the Thunderbird. Stubborn as hell and always challenges everything, even the gods, which is a big no-no.

ALBERT LANCE: Short brown hair which is always waving into his eyes, fair, coppery skin (an effect of living out in the desert) and eyes the color of liquid topaz. Okay, he's kind of good looking. At least, Mollie's infatuated with him. He's kind of the intellectual/protective type, the kind of dude who's too smart for his own good, and only learns fighting so he can protect the people he loves. He's not very understanding though, no matter what Mollie says, and in my opinion he's a bit hot headed.

Albert and Mollie standing together. This is when they're older, because at the beginning
of the books, Mollie is 13 and Albert is 14. Also, Mollie should have a cloak and a circlet,
and Albert's cape has the Pranuerian royal shield on it.

CHARLES CUTTER: Mollie's adopted cousin has pointy, blondish brown hair, soft green eyes a pointy chin (with pointy ears and an earring, and a pointy nose) and very abnormally pointy elbows. He has a bunch of scars on his back from all the times his dad whipped him (how awful!) and a scar right above his eyebrow from the time his mom through a knife at him. But even though he's been through a lot, and he is rather pointy, He always has your best interests at heart. He's also overly helpful and overly nice, but he's super kind and hardworking. He likes to play the flute, and he's more of a flight than fight guy. I can tell he has a thing for Mollie. Personally, I thinks she could do much better with him. Albert's too... perfect.

DARREN DARKON "DARK DIAMOND" FROST: Another one of Mollie's cousins. Reminds me Malfoy, with the same slicked back hair (although it's black) and disgusting sneer. He's pretty much an idiot and extremely in love with Mollie. Like, gross - I mean, and adopted cousin is one thing, but a related first cousin? And then, when you consider who Mollie's real parents are - Virginia and Jack Thomas, who's Darky's dad - then Mollie is actually Darky's half brother! Oh, gross!
BTW, he's called "Dark Diamond" because he's super rich and flaunts it.

Made in the Game of Thrones scene maker in
DollDivine. I call him Darky for short.

ERIK KIREN: A guardian of Vayl's Shrine. Blonde, long hair, super muscular, with stormy gray eyes and a teasing smile. SUPER hot. And super strong. And super brave. And oddly enough, he writes poems like I do. Justin hates him, which I think is a bit unreasonable.

Anyway, that's everyone that I can think of. I might post again today so stay tuned!

Welcome. Or, Maybe Not

My name is Samantha Cruz, and if you want to sum me up in one sentence, you'd fail. But I can tell you that I'm a Double Seer, and that being here is putting you in terrible danger.

Oh, don't worry. I'm an expert combatant, best with my two swords. I can fight off any monster or person that might try to attack you - I think.

Where are you? In a safe place, hopefully. This is Elysium, one of the only safe places for Double Seers like me - like a miniature Earth on Othere. Othere and Earth are two different planets, billions of light years apart. But because I'm awesome, I can complete the trip in just a few seconds.

Double Seers are people - from Earth usually, but occasionally from Othere - who are chosen by the gods to be their champions. I'm "sponsored" by the Thunderbird, who's in control of the powers of flame and granted me my Double Seer powers and pyrokineisis.

Double Seers truly live in two worlds. Say I spend a day on Earth. Then at midnight, I have to make a choice - stay on Earth, or go to Othere? And then, when I make the choice, when midnight rolls around I kind of just... go to Othere. I feel like some invisible force is dragging me there and... poof, I end up in any location I want. Then at Othere's midnight, I make the choice again. What's helpful is that I can go wherever I want on the planet. Saves a lot of time. I can also transport other people with me. Occasionally I teleport multiple times a day, but it takes a lot of energy and really hurts.

Also, the Thunderbird granted me a weapon - two of his talons. They're my swords. I wasn't really granted the "magical" ability to sword fight, not really... the swords just feel really natural and balanced in my hand, like extensions of my arm. When I'm fighting, I don't think. I just follow my impulses.

Don't believe me? Maybe you shouldn't. Othere is dangerous. Being here - yes, even in Elysium - could kill you. This magical world isn't all fun and games. It's dangerous here.

Don't say I didn't warn you.
